Sea bass are silvery fish with large scales and often shoal together in large numbers. They are migratory, spending the winter offshore and returning to shallow coastal waters in the spring to breed. They feed along the shore line, darting into waves to catch any animals that have been caught in the churning waters. Slow growing, sea bass don’t breed until they are 5 years old.
