Aquarium by Night: Busting Sea Myths 16th November, 4:30 - 6:30 pm
See the aquarium by night and join us as we shed some light on the murky sea tales of old! It's going to be a monster of a night!
Are mermaids real? Do Krakens really lurk in the ocean depths? The sea has inspired tales of fantastical creatures and monsters that have been passed down the generations for hundreds of years. On this special night, we will explore these murky tales of old as myths and marine science meet and merge!
This is a rare chance to explore the aquarium after dark and see the familiar exhibits in a whole new light, including the brand new touch pools.
The highlight of the evening will be the interactive 'Busting Sea Myths' show where local storyteller Pauline Cordiner will be bringing to life the tales of our favourite mysterious beasts of the deep, and teaming up with our own learning officer, Marie Dare, for a sprinkling of marine science.
There will also be a monster treasure hunt (with real treasure!) and a 'make and take' monster printing station.
The 'Busting Sea Myths' show will run at 5pm and 5.45pm. Space is limited, but queue buster tickets can be purchased in advance - just give us a call on 01261833 369 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to book.
Normal entry prices apply.
