A typical school visit to the aquarium involves…
Welcome At Reception Introduction to your Marine Master and an outline of the plan for the day.
Explore The Aquarium Accompanied by your aquarium assistant who will give you all sorts of information relating to the exhibits, habitats and animals you meet.
Talk At The Touch Pools Get a feel for seashore life and learn more about seashore animals’ adaptations for survival.
Talk, Activity Or Slideshow Presentation Held in the main audio-visual theatre relating to the education programme chosen.
Additional quizzes and trail activities available.
There are no facilities for eating at the aquarium and food is not allowed in the exhibit area. There is a grassy area with picnic tables outside. Aquarium staff will help with local information if you need to make lunch arrangements in the event of a cold or rainy day.
With the excellent programmes on offer, the fascinating displays and our knowledgeable and friendly staff, we can promise you a great day out, as well as a fun learning experience.
