Oceans, Energy and Climate Change Online STEM event - 8th October
We are excited to offer a virtual STEM event for schools!
This online event will dive into the topics of climate change, sustainable energy and biodiversity in our ocean. The event will be designed for P 5 - 7 pupils and will be delivered as half-day workshops via Teams.
Our own Marine Masters are teaming up with wind power experts from Stromar Offshore Floating Wind Farm for this interactive workshop that aims to foster a deeper understanding of these interlinked subjects among young learners, as well as providing inspiration for school children to consider careers in STEM.
The sessions will be filled on a first come first serve basis and the first session will be 9:30-12:30 via Teams with a 20 min break in between and will cover the diversity of native marine species, climate change, how it affects our ocean, and the role of sustainable energy as we move towards lowering our carbon emissions. There will also be a STEM careers Q and A session where pupils can get first had experiences from experts in their fields.
This virtual workshop will be FREE to book, thanks to the kind support of Stromar, sponsors for this event.
