Situated on Aberdeenshire's scenic coast in the traditional fishing town of Macduff, Macduff Marine Aquarium sits right on the shore of the Moray Firth, Scotland’s largest bay.

Good to Know:
The building is all on one level and suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
Disabled-access toilets and baby changing facilities are available.
Drinks, sweets and ice creams are available in the gift shop and there are picnic benches outside but no cafe at the aquarium.

Active Travel: Why not walk or cycle? There are stands at the aquarium to safely leave your bikes.
By Road From Aberdeen, take the A947 through Dyce, Old Meldrum and Turriff. Turn off for Macduff and follow the signs past the harbour to the aquarium. Travel time: 1 hour. From Fraserburgh, take the A98 which goes right through Macduff. Follow the signs for the aquarium. Travel time: 40 minutes. From Elgin, take the A96 until Fochabers and join the A98 towards Fraserburgh. Go through Banff and on to Macduff. Pass the harbour and turn left, following the signs for the aquarium. Travel time: 50 minutes
There is a free car park and space for coaches.
By Bus From Aberdeen or Elgin – take the bus number 35 Elgin/Aberdeen via Coast. Call Traveline on 0871 2002233 for times.
