Dive in Deeper- Sharks

Shark Season runs every October and is a time to celebrate all things shark here at the aquarium.

Sharks are majestic, compelling and fascinating creature, but are often misunderstood.

They have secretive lives and we still have much to learn about their habits and life histories; what we do know, is that healthy oceans need sharks. They have a very important role in keeping other fish populations healthy by removing the weak, injured and diseased members.

Sadly sharks are now in peril; their numbers are in decline worldwide leaving some species on the brink of extinction.
